Dezerae Albert graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. She received her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in May, 2020 and was admitted to practice law that same year.

While in law school, Dezerae was an intern for the Stark County Public Defender’s Office. She also worked for the Reentry Clinic at Akron’s Law School, focusing on inmate assistance. Dezerae also interned with the Summit Legal Defenders office, where she currently practices law. She also represents individuals in Ohio prisons who are eligible for release after an Ohio Parole Board hearing.
